sights and sounds.
i'm blogging in the school library. sabrina is going to scold me tomorrow if she manages to see this entry tonight.
people are acting as if they are doing work but also surfing the net like me. some are talking on the phone. there was a weird woman who slammed her big red file beside me just now while muttering profanities into her phone. she sits down on the terminal beside mine.
she looks bloody old. probably a tutor or lecturer. but NUS lecturers have more class than to slam red files on tables and cursing in the library. maybe just a random old graduate doing research and something has cropped up. she puts down her phone and clicks frantically with her brows furrowed.
a familiar face walks past, its an ex-cedarian. cedarians are everywhere, seriously. there's one in hall, alot in the arts canteen, sometimes a few in mcdonalds in the school. a smile, a wave, a nod, a 'hi' in greeting and walk on.
people curse at the queue at the printing area. a guy started to curse behind me when he saw i had a shitload to print. he must have an essay due soon, its was 5.30pm. FASS's essays are usually due at 6. (okay at least mine was)
an angmoh speaks on his phone in a foreign tongue, he spys at other's computers while chatting. a few glares were directed onto him, and he walks away, laughing into the phone.
there was a sudden loud chatter, and a swarm of people enters. they must have finished their lecture, seeking solace in the library and comfort towards their stress from the impending exams, or pretending to be hardworking.
a different environment from the nanyang, a contrast between Central Library and The Drum.(omg i rmbed the name!) a totally different feeling, but i enjoy the comfort and aircon of both.
i see sabrina walking towards me.
i shall pretend to be hardworking now, too. ^^
